My 2019 #aneW Holiday

My home for the holidays...

Oh, yes, I'm that person who changes the decorations in her house for every season, especially Christmas! There's something about the holiday season that fills me with excitement and gets me eager to deck out the house. I'll admit, some years are more elaborate than others, depending on my schedule, but overall, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Last year, I lost my dad, and my mother has been gone for about 17 years now. It's time for us to forge our own family traditions, although this one is something I've carried over from my childhood. I used to dread it when my mother would have my sister and me climbing trees and putting up three Christmas trees in the house every year, but now I understand why (although I don't let my kids help; I take this seriously). Well, don't judge me—I have boys, and they actually have no interest in helping.

Given my love for decorating and my belief that my house looks quite nice, I decided to invite some friends over to take their family portraits in my home. Most places create a fake backdrop anyway, so why not opt for the real thing? Below are some shots from our family's aneW Holiday photo shoot!
